What do children see in parents?
This will be the focus of this weekend’s (7 May) Religious Education (RE) parents’ session from 10.00-11.15 am at Bellarmine Hall.
These sessions, running since the beginning of 2016 during the religious education (Sunday School) classes for the kids, have been providing information and formation for parents through the Symbolon programme explaining our faith and the family life ministry on parenting.
In 2016 Pam Johnson from the CMPC facilitated the parenting sessions revolving around themes of memories, listening, and being life giving.
This year’s sessions began with Part 2 of Symbolon, facilitated by David Liau from the FIRM Foundation, looking at further aspects of our Catholic faith. The parenting sessions began with ‘expectations’ and this Sunday 7 May the image of parents will be considered. Upcoming topics later would be on ‘criticism’ and ‘discipline’, among others.
Parents, please encourage your fellow parents to join this worthwhile enriching experience.
