News confessional opened and further penitential services

The two new confessionals in SFX Church were blessed on Wednesday 16 March after the evening mass and ready for the Penitential Service. There were a total of 26 priests in attendance for about 975 penitents the next day.

Religious Education (RE) coordinators have said that this Lent Fr Lawrence may not be able to do confessions with the children in the classes as they did last year due to a tight schedule. For the children and others who missed the Penitential Service and who would like to go for the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent, confessions will continue in SFX at the usual times and there are a few more penitential services in nearby parishes.

1/2 hour before every Mass on Sundays,
1/2 hour before evening Mass on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays
